4. The sentences below are from two different Hodja stories. They are mixed up. Read them and write their correct order under the correct title.
A man brought a letter to the Hodja and asked:
“Take this to someone else.” said the Hodja.
One day a neighbour wanted to borrow the Hodja’s rope.
“What do you mean?” asked the surprised man.
“Hodja, can you read this letter?”
He went into the house and after a time he came back and said:
The Hodja took off his turban and placed it in front of the man.
“When I don’t want to lend anybody my rope, we can spread flour on it easily.”
“How come? You are wearing the turban of a learned man, but you can’t read a letter.”
“Sorry, the rope is not available. My wife has just spread flour on it. She hasn’t finished with it yet.”
“OK. If it is the skill of a turban, put it on and read your letter yourself.
“How can you spread flour on a rope? Are you making fun of me?”
Hodja didn’t like this neighbour.
He couldn’t read it and gave it back to the man.
“No, I’m quite serious” replied the Hodja.
Hodja looked at the letter. It was in Arabic.
